Has anyone ever swapped a Citroën flat four into a rear-engined Volkswagen? Can’t be too difficult can it.

The French engine is about a third of a century more modern, it is more eager to rev, it is a legit hemi, it would be a pretty unique swap despite being similar in many ways. Why the fuck not?

Most people use Subie engines, but a flat-four Citroen swap would be pretty creative and cool! :)

Not often you see Aflasuds or their engines these days.

If you use the Citroen gearbox and final drive you’ll have four or five reverse gears and one forward which may be a tad inconvenient.
